Punjab is the leading state in constructing flyovers among all the states. It is the plus points for our growth and economy. Flyover bridges carries one road or railway line above another either with or without subsidiary roads, for communication between the two. A flyover is an elevated road at a junction.
Junctions create a conflict between different streams of traffic and require special treatment.
It has lessened the traffic jam. People can go to distant places without any trouble. With the ease of any problem related to traffic and rush people will be aware of the raising standard of life. flyovers help to streamline the traffic control system by helping to reduce traffic congestion. Reduced horizontal curvature reduces risk of off-road crashes.
The impact of the flyover construction to curb traffic congestion problem has been assessed in terms of traffic de congestion, time saving and fuel saving. It was found that about 35% of the total traffic is diverted to the flyover, which results in a reduction of about 32% in the total emission generation. It is the time saving technique by travelling on the flyover.

The loss of fuel for combustion and the associated cost resulting from waiting for the signal to change are also estimated, and these are found to be significant. When it rains, it’s not just the roads that are water logged all other streets also get full with water so it’s easy to travel by flyover to get ease of rain water. We are proud to be part of Punjab as it has developed so much .government is doing a lot for the sake of culture and economy.

Punjab is witnessing major infrastructural revolution with Rs. 32 thousand 275crore spent till date on providing a world class road infrastructure and also the main cities are being connected with 4 lane and 6 lane roads.
Government has laid the foundation of strengthening and widening of 31.70 kilometer long road from “Sri Satguru Brahmsagar Bhuri Wale Marg” tibba tapprian-dhamana-jatwahar-jhandian-kangar-hyattpur-kahanpur khoohi. Punjab is the first state in the country to have bridges constructed to ease in commuting on main roads and over bridges constructed on 95 percent railway crossings which results in benefitting 40 villages of the area.

Punjab witnessed rapid development only when SAD-BJP government was at the helm and congress which ruled the state for so long, can’t list even a single achievement. Aap has no existence in Punjab and its convenor Arvind Kejriwal cannot feel the pulse of the masses.

The biggest problem facing our democracy today is that no one in AAP wants to hear the common man’s basic needs. . Tomorrow, it becomes another black unassailable fortress of evil and greed. It is dominated by the so called liberals who are nothing but communists in disguise, seeking to earn money, fame and awards and hide it with pretensions of good-will, liberty, human rights etc.

This is the easiest way for them to gain power, influence public opinion and earn more and try to state their insatiable greed. The AAP can neither remove corruption nor usher any new age for Indian democracy and polity. It is a party full of hackneyed concepts and ulterior motives. He said that people of Punjab would not fall into kejriwal’s trap as they have given a befitting reply to outsiders.

Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) has always fought for protecting the interests of Punjab and the state government has executed pro-people welfare schemes for the betterment of the state. Government took such initiative step by giving 50 percent subsidy on barbed wire fencing in order to enable farmers of the region to secure their crops against onslaught of wild animals.

The airport at Virk Kalan village near Bathinda will become operation with flights to commence on December 4, said Union food processing minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal .

In her speech during the foundation-laying of a parking project in Bathinda, the local MP said this “will prove a milestone in the development of Punjab”. It’s been over four years since the airport was constructed with an investment of Rs 25 crore. The Punjab government had provided 40 acres of land for it adjacent to the Bhisiana Indian Air Force (IAF) station.

An official of Air India (AI) and another from Alliance Air, a subsidiary of AI, had met representatives of trade and industry here last week to assess the viability of starting flights.

Airports Authority of India has constructed the building and manages it while the runway and occasional, private air traffic is being looked after by the IAF. The 9000-ft runway is according to standards required for big planes, but the apron can accommodate only two 50-seater aircrafts at a time.

The SAD-BJP government has been facing flak for failing to get started flights from the airport, a dream project of Punjab deputy chief minister Sukhbir Singh Badal, despite having promised to do so during campaigning in the 2014 parliament polls. The SAD-BJP had blamed the previous, Congress-led UPA government at the Centre for not starting flights from Bathinda.
